The exact system I use to create, launch, and sell digital products on repeat
When I first started using Pinterest for business, I made the same mistake most people do…
I treated it like social media.
I focused on:
• pretty graphics
• posting consistently
• adding hashtags (because that’s what worked on Instagram, right?)
And the result?
Nothing. No clicks. No traffic. No growth.
It honestly felt like I was posting into the void.
But everything changed when I realised one simple thing:
Pinterest is not social media. It’s a search engine.
And once I understood that, everything started to make sense.
Because if Pinterest is a search engine… then the real key to getting seen isn’t aesthetics.
It’s keywords.
Are you on my email list? If not, you should be!
As a member of my community, I make sure you get the most value, the most effective resources and the best deals!
Let’s keep this really simple.
Pinterest keywords are the exact words and phrases people type into the search bar when they’re looking for something.
So instead of guessing what to post…
You’re actually creating content based on what people are already searching for.
For example, if you sell digital planners, your audience isn’t searching for:
👉 “cute planner”
They’re searching for things like:
• daily planner printable
• minimalist planner template
• productivity planner PDF
That’s your keyword goldmine.
And when you start using those words in your content, Pinterest knows exactly who to show your pins to.
Think of keywords as the bridge between
🌟 your content
👉 and the people actively looking for it
Without them, your content gets lost.
With them, your content gets found.
Before we jump into how to find them, let’s quickly cover where they actually go.
Because this is where most people miss the opportunity.
You should be using keywords in:
• your pin titles
• your pin descriptions
• your board titles
• your board descriptions
• your profile bio
Basically, anywhere you’re describing your content — that’s where your keywords belong.
And here’s the best part…
Unlike Instagram or TikTok, your content doesn’t disappear after 24 hours.
Pinterest content keeps working for months.
Which means one well-optimised pin can bring traffic again and again.
Now let’s get into the part that actually makes the difference.
And don’t worry — this is much simpler than people think.
You don’t need fancy tools.
You don’t need to be an SEO expert.
You just need to know where to look.
Step 1: Start With the Pinterest Search Bar
Go to Pinterest and start typing something related to your niche.
For example: “digital products”
Don’t press enter yet.
Look at what Pinterest suggests…
These are real search terms people are typing in right now.
You might see things like:
• digital products to sell
• digital products for beginners
• digital product ideas
These suggestions = your first set of keywords
Step 2: Look at the Keyword Bubbles
Now press search.
At the top of the results page, you’ll see a row of coloured keyword bubbles.
For example:
• ideas
• passive income
• beginners
• templates
These help you build longer keyword phrases, like:
👉 digital products for beginners
👉 digital product ideas for passive income
This is where your content becomes more targeted (and more powerful).
Step 3: Scroll and Study the Pins
Now scroll through the results.
Look at:
• pin titles
• pin text overlays
• descriptions
Notice the words that keep coming up again and again.
👉 That’s a clue that those keywords are working.
Pinterest is literally showing you what it understands and ranks.

Step 4: Click Into High-Performing Pins
Click on a few pins that stand out.
Look at:
• the title
• the description
• the keywords used
You’ll start to see patterns.
And this gives you ideas for:
• your own pin titles
• your own content
• your own keyword strategy
Step 5: Build Your Own Keyword List
Now take everything you’ve found and create a simple list.
You don’t need anything fancy — even your notes app works.
Group your keywords like this:
• main keyword (e.g. digital products)
• supporting keywords (e.g. for beginners, passive income, ideas)
This becomes your content bank.
Step 6: Use Your Keywords Intentionally
Now that you have your keywords, use them naturally in your content.
For example:
Pin Title:
10 Digital Products for Beginners That Sell Fast
Description:
Discover digital product ideas for beginners who want to create passive income using simple, profitable digital products.
👉 See how the keywords flow naturally?
No stuffing. No forcing.
Just clear, intentional wording.
Spend 10 minutes a week doing this.
That’s it.
Just 10 minutes exploring:
• new keywords
• new trends
• new search phrases
Because the more you understand how your audience searches…
The easier it becomes to create content that actually gets seen.
If this is starting to click and you’re thinking…
👉 “Okay… but how do I actually turn this into consistent traffic and sales?”
That’s exactly what I teach inside The Pinterest Traffic System
